One of the Yakutsk cinemas held a special screening of a film for dogs on the occasion of Russian Cinema Day. The press service of the organization told journalists about it on August 28.

"A day of cinema cannot pass without a screening of films. However, people are not allowed to visit cinemas in Yakutra due to quarantine restrictions, so the audience became pets. The action has become a unique response to the quarantine realities, "the statement said.

The special screening of the unannounced film took place at the Yakutsk Cinema-Center. Nine animals became spectators.

"The dogs were put in a chessboard to maintain a special distance. The audience was provided with medical masks. The participants of the four-legged action watched a film about human friendship with a dog, "the press service told TASS. According to the employees of the cinema, this is the first film screening in Russia, which was held especially for dogs.

"No one has violated discipline, social distance. The four-legged spectators behaved well and clean, however, we thoroughly disinfected the institution after the session, "the cinema said.

Cinemas in Yakutsk have been closed since March 19 due to the epidemic, but from September 15 they will be able to resume operations on the condition that the coronavirus situation allows. In Yakutia alone, according to the stopcoronavirus.f resource, 7,210 cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 5,870 people recovered and 79 people died.
