Our goal is to have a developed community and a strong state. Marzpet Yayloyan
21-year-old Marzpet Yayloyan is in Artsakh now. He and his friends visited Artsakh to assist the soldiers in Shahumyan community. For the sake of a soldier, for the sake of Homeland, this is the name of their benevolent initiative, which unites around one idea: “For two days the residents come and give their parcels, letters and donations to the initiative group,” - he says.

These and other programs are implemented by the Governor and his friends within the framework of the Community Youth Council.

The Community Youth Council is the initiative of Mr. Yayloyan: “The idea arose within the framework of the UN Community Development Program “I am the Community” for the Community Young Leaders Camp. We want to develop our community, leisure time with interesting and useful things. The initiative is carried out with the support and cooperation of Shahumyan district municipality,” – he says.

The Council’s activities are aimed at coordinating vital activities, forming common approaches, and sharing efforts to achieve universal well-being.

“There was a great desire to do something good, and the idea of the board came and we decided to develop it. We wanted to expand our activities not only in the spheres of education, culture, sports, healthy lifestyle, environment and charity, but also to local self-governance, thus promoting the work of local self-governance bodies in community development.

The Community Youth Council has launched its activities in April, starting with two educational and one charity programs at once.

“We want to boost the education starting from junior schoolchildren, and for that purpose we have initiated two educational programs for April – “Little Artists” and “Science”,” – he says.

We already have the action plan for the next 6 months. We plan to implement community development programs in the aforementioned directions. We need to promote community life and involve young people in order to fulfill our goals, to have an advanced community, literate citizen and a strong state.”
