Anita Harutyunyan to represent Armenia at Miss Planet-2017
From September 11 to 17, Batumi will host Miss and Mister Planet 2017. This year, 27-year-old Anita Harutyunyan is representing Armenia.

Anita Harutyunyan is working with a big team, including Executive Director of Top Model Armenia National Association Lusine Baghdasaryan, Artistic Director of Top Model Armenia National Association Marina Grigoryan, founding President of Top Model Armenia National Association Gevorg Asatryan, as well as several specialists who are working on the model’s appearance and designing her clothes.

In an interview with Eritasard.am, Executive Director of Top Model Armenia National Association Lusine Baghdasaryan, who is also involved in the organizational activities, provided several details about the competition and Anita Harutyunyan’s participation. According to Lusine Baghdasaryan, this is the third time Armenia is participating in the Miss Planet competition. Younger participants took part in the first and second competitions, but this year, a decision was made to send an older participant since age is quite important for the participant to present herself correctly and with confidence.

“Anita is an actress by profession. She has worked as a model in Russia, and her career makes her more presentable and confident. In general, she stands out with her courage and her ability to adapt to an environment easily and establish friendly ties with people,” the organizer noted.

Armenia’s participant will also wear a national costume at the exhibition. According to Lusine Baghdasaryan, in previous years, the national costumes of Vaspurakan and Artsakh have also been presented, and this year, the avant-garde style will be presented. The creator of the national costume is Sofi Devoyan, who agreed to provide the clothing with great pleasure. The designers of the other two costumes are Anita Harutyunyan’s friends. In terms of idea and design, the designers also took into consideration the model’s preferences. Armenia’s representative has also prepared small symbolic gifts for the members of the jury.

Founding President of Top Model Armenia National Association Gevorg Asatryan, who is also a member of the international jury, noted that information about the participants is currently presented through photos, but the experience of the past years has shown that the top participants are from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and African countries. They not only try to look beautiful, but also show their intellect.

“Each member of the jury tries to choose the best, and this is important. All members are guided by that principle, even the representatives of Azerbaijan. It is safe to say that this is one of the exceptional competitions where policy and the relations between countries don’t disturb the competition,” Gevorg Asatryan noted.

Artistic Director of Top Model Armenia National Association Marina Grigoryan, who works on defile, stated that even though she has been working with the model for a short amount of time, the result is already clear. Marina Grigoryan considered Anita’s self-confidence the major guarantee of her success and what makes her move forward.

Eritasard.am also talked to Anita Harutyunyan, who noted that she is working very hard, is in a great mood, is self-confident and courageous since she plans on winning.

“It is a great honor for me to represent Armenia at such a reputable competition and especially show a national costume. I am confident that I will win, and these are not merely words. Words are very powerful for me. In many cases, they say what matters is participation, but I believe a participant has to have a goal, that is, victory,” Anita Harutyunyan noted.

Let us mention that there will be an Armenian brandy tasting event during the days of the competition.
