“100 Ideas for Armenia” competition to end on November 30
On November 30, 2016 (14:00-18:30), Yerevan State Chamber Theater will host the final stage of the “100 Ideas for Armenia” republican youth competition for innovative projects and scientific-technical elaborations held by the RA Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, and the results will be announced during a solemn ceremony (19:00-20:30).

The main goals of the competition are to promote and enhance the inventions and innovations of young people, discover innovative projects and scientific-technical elaborations that are important for the country’s socio-economic development, as well as improve the cooperation between non-governmental organizations, economic entities and state administration bodies in the solutions to major social and public issues.

The organizers have received about 30 applications in the following categories:

· Agricultural Sciences

· Information Technologies

· Medical Science and Pharmaceutics

· Technical Sciences

The expert committee for the contest has conducted a preliminary evaluation of the application forms. Based on the results, the thirteen top inventions and innovations have made it to the final stage. Out of those inventions and innovations, four innovative projects and scientific-technical elaborations will be selected in the final stage.

The creators of the winning projects will each receive a financial reward. The total prize fund makes up AMD 2,000,000 (two million).

The winning projects of the “100 Ideas for Armenia” republican youth competition will be presented for an award at the “100 Ideas for the CIS” international competition in 2018.
