Stepanakert to host international youth conference on “The Achievements of the 25-year Statehood of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Current Challenges”
On 15-18 September, at the initiative of the Union of Young Scholars and Professionals of Artsakh, with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Support Program for Young Scholars being carried out under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Stepanakert will host an international youth conference on “The Achievements of the 25-year Statehood of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and the Current Challenges”.

The conference is open to the Master’s and PhD students of universities and scientific research centers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the Republic of Armenia and abroad, as well as young scholars and professionals (participants must be under 35, except for renowned scholars who will give speeches during the plenary session).

Fields of the conference: law, history, political science, economics and psychology.

To participate, applicants need to submit an application and send it to artsakh.conference@gmail.com by July 1, 2016.

Applicants must also send the following:
•    Abstract of speech,
•    Opinion of academic supervisor or letter of recommendation of the relevant chair (only for those without a scientific ranking).

Languages of the conference: Armenian, Russian, English.

The works of the conference will be published in a collection of materials.

Requirements for submission of works:
Computer layout of article: Word 97-2003:
Size: 4-7 pages
Format: A5 (148ճ210 mm), Margins: 18 mm from left, top and right, 16 mm from bottom:

Font: For Armenian: Sylfaen, for Russian or English: Times New Roman.

The title of the article is written in the upper line of the first page (in the middle) in 12 pt font, Caps Lock and Bold. The name(s) of the author(s) is(are) written in 11 pt font on the right side of the bottom line. The name of the university or scientific research center, faculty, status (Bachelor’s PhD, candidate of sciences, lecturer) is written one line down, in 9 pt font and in Italic. The ranking of the academic supervisor, title, name and last name are written one line down, on the right side, in 9 pt font and in Italic. After a double space, the applicant needs to present the main text of the work. The font for the main text is 10 pt, and the distance between lines is 1. The text must be equal from both sides (Alignment: Justify). Paragraphs must start from 1 cm with TAB.

Links are mandatory and are given as footnote (8 pt font) and with a distance between lines (1). The text for the link must be aligned from both sides (Alignment: Justify). The last name of the author of the work used and the first letter of the name (in Bold), and then the title, place of publication, date of the work and page of used book must be presented in the link. 

The abstracts in Armenian, Russian and English are mandatory. The title of the article is written one line down from the main text of the article, in the middle, in 10 pt, Caps Lock and Bold. The name(s) and last name(s) is(are) written in 10 pt font one line down. The “Key Words” (4-6 words) are written one line down. The abstract of the article (essence, goal, objectives, results) is presented briefly (60-80 words) one line down. 

The transfer from Yerevan to Stepanakert and vice versa will be organized free-of-charge.

Speeches that fail to meet the standards will not be accepted.
